School Tools Drive—Aug 8-29 |

During 2009, Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) sent over 96 million meals around the world thanks to the work of more than 416,000 volunteers. On October 2nd from 9-11 a.m., you, your friends, and families can be part of the 2010 volunteer numbers. In response to the hunger needs of our larger world community, Edgcumbe will visit FMSC to pack MannaPacks™, the meal packs that are distributed to those in need. A sign-up sheet will be available towards the end of August. Note that the minimum age to participate is 5 yrs old and that 5-9 year olds will need adult supervision while packing the meals. |

Since 1989, Joseph's Coat has been serving people in Saint Paul and the surrounding Twin Cities communities whose life challenges have left them in need of essential goods and services. This free store provides clothing, household items, personal hygiene products, and children’s items. Approximately 750 individuals are served each week through the dedicated efforts of our wonderful volunteers. Items especially needed for men, women and children: socks and underwear (new or gently used), winter clothing, adult backpacks, sleeping bags, men’s tennis shoes, boots for men, women & children, soap, disposable razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo and foot powder. Please leave your donation of clean, gently used items in the barrel located in the church entry. |

We have a collection box here at the church for your used cell phones. The phones are donated to the local non-profit group St. Paul Domestic Abuse Intervention Project. The cell phones are wiped clean of any information, repaired if they need it, and then handed out to victims of domestic abuse for use as emergency 911 service phones. All types of cell phones are accepted, as well as their batteries and chargers. So, instead of throwing your phone away when you buy a new one, please bring it to the church and place it in the marked box in the narthex. |

At the time of the last publication, we did not have all of the numbers available from the May food drive. Cindy Hanson and Brian Manwarren dropped off 53 pounds of food at Keystone Community Services Food Shelf. EPC also gave monetary donations totaling $287 to MN FoodShare. Cindy also delivered 50 more brown bags to Bill's Pantry on behalf of EPC. Thank you again to everyone who donated. |
